Saints fans can get set for big match with live cookalong

Northampton Saints supporters hungry for action can tuck in to a pre-game feast complete with cocktails to toast rugby’s long-awaited return.

To mark Saints clash with Wasps on August 16th, Burnt Lemon Chefs and Jelley’s Organic Vodka have teamed up with Northampton Saints to give fans the perfect pre-match meal, delivered direct to their doorstep.

Fans can either cook along live on Instagram, or sit back and enjoy a pre-prepared meal.

James Peck, owner of Burnt Lemon Chefs, said: “Our Supper Clubs have been a great way of giving people a bit of contact with others during what has been a massively difficult period for us all.

“We’ve used Instagram to make it as interactive as possible, with live cookalongs and the chance for guests to chat to each other throughout the night.

“This time we’ve raised the bar to mark the return of rugby. We want Saints fans to join us for what should be a fantastic occasion in the build up to the big game. We’ll have some fun, we’ll have a laugh and we’ll enjoy some fantastic food and drink.” The cookalong will feature dishes including aged beef onglet steak with bone marrow and a thyme potato press, duck egg, bbq spring onion and beef sauce while Brixworth-based Jelley’s Organic Vodka will be serving up a cocktail perfectly designed to match each course. “While our supporters may not be able to attend matches in person until restrictions on attending live sporting events have been lifted, with ‘Saints Social’ they can still enjoy a superb pre-match hospitality experience from the comfort of their own homes,” said Ed Turnham, Head of Sales at Northampton Saints.

“I hope this can be a fun way for our supporters to interact with one another before our matches, and maybe learn a thing or two along the way from Burnt Lemon’s brilliant team of chefs!”

The deadline to book is midnight on August 12. For more details and to order your box, visit https://www.burntlemonchefs.co.uk/
