Playing their part for charity

Finance, News | January 5, 2022

christmas jumper festive charity business finance presents

Over the last couple of months Hawsons have been taking part in a number of charity events. The team have all taken an interest in each activity and have
engaged wholeheartedly.

Everyone participated in fundraising for Children in Need. With tensions heightened tuning into Rickie & Melvin’s Biscuit Build Sweepstake, David Owens was rewarded with a prize and certificate for his biscuit appreciation.

The team also thoroughly enjoyed sharing their favourite recipes, by baking for a cake sale in mid-December. The charity cake sale is known as the Great Hawsons Bake Off. Three judges – David Cairns, James Robinson and Will Amos – blind-tasted and chose their favourite entry. Leanne Boucher won the day with her cutting-edge coffee cake, an all-round favourite. Again the proceeds went to Children in Need.

Hawsons also held a Christmas jumper day, where the team wore their best and worst jumpers. Everyone brought in a variety of animal food and treats which were donated to local charity, Animals in Need. All items were taken to the shelter before Christmas. There are a number of animal-lovers in the office, so it was great to give to a cause that has a special place in their hearts.

Richard Burkimsher, Partner at Hawsons, said:

“We are committed to holding regular events for charity, and it’s been great to see the team coming together doing what they can. We will continue to do the same in 2022!”
