Department welcomes new starters and celebrates new training contracts

Legal | February 1, 2022

Wilson Browne Solicitors

In the last seven years Wilson Browne Solicitors has created more than 45 jobs. A current bolstering of the Commercial Law department has seen the arrival of:

Hasin Ali (Paralegal, Corporate & Commercial), who commences his training contract with the firm in May, assisting with M&As, disposals, reorganisations and restructuring, business succession and exit plans.

Catherine Healy joined November 2021 as the firm’s first SQE (a new, alternative route into law) Trainee Solicitor in the Corporate & Commercial team.

Anna Prozherina (Commercial Property) will be assisting fee earners in buying, selling or leasing commercial property. She is also an accredited civil commercial mediator, and a qualified
overseas lawyer.

Emily Griffiths (Commercial Litigation) to assist with debt recovery and adverse possession cases. Emily has a first class Law degree and is working whilst completing her final academic stage of training.

Kawaljit Singh (Commercial Property) started her training contract to become a solicitor in November 2021 in the firm’s nationally recognised Commercial Property team. Kawaljit has been with the firm since 2018.

Hazel Taylor (Employment) has progressed to start her paralegal training with CILEX (an alternative route to practicing law), having worked for Wilson Browne as a legal secretary for six years.

Matt Gausden-Walker is also new to the firm as the New Enquiries Team Manager. With 17 years’ sales experience, Matt is responsible for the team’s strategic path but may also be found on the phones providing quotes on conveyancing transactions and organising appointments for the specialist legal teams.

Chairman Kevin Rogers is delighted with the progression within the team, and said:

“The strength in depth and straightforward approach of our Commercial Law team is the reason that our clients not only come back to us, but recommend us time after time. We know that tomorrow’s lawyer is our future, and genuinely embrace that, and continue to see the benefits of this long-term strategy.”
