Time to celebrate educational excellence

Education | July 1, 2022

trust celebrate

With the end of the school year approaching, the teachers, support staff and management team from Nene Education Trust gathered at Kettering Park Hotel to celebrate their annual awards.

With 13 categories up for grabs, the Trust’s eight schools – Newton Road School in Rushden, Windmill Primary in Raunds, Stanwick Primary, Raunds Park Infants, St. Peter’s CE Junior, Woodford CE Primary, Redwell Primary in Wellingborough and Manor School in Raunds – gathered to find out who the winners were.

The judges had chosen from strong line-ups in awards from the Newcomer of the Year to School Project of the Year through to Excellence in Special Needs Education to Primary and Secondary Teacher of the Year.

After a three-course dinner, the awards ceremony was hosted by comedian Russ Williams, who introduced the finalists and welcomed the category sponsors to the stage to present the awards. Once all the winners were announced, guests danced to live entertainment until late into the evening.

Welcoming everyone to the event, Nene Education Trust CEO Chris Hill said:

“Having started our fledgling organisation around four years ago, I cannot believe how we have developed and grown, in so many aspects, in that short period of time. I love our school communities – the people, the warmth and genuineness, and above all the potential we have here for all our young people to grow, thrive and spread their wings.

“Your commitment to our children and our communities is second to none. Every person in our Trust has an important role in our children’s development and I am justifiably proud of the part that every one of you plays, every day, in that development.

“This evening we will not only recognise the success of individuals but celebrate what we are as a whole, and what we achieve together throughout the whole Trust and in all our schools.” celebrate
