A Northamptonshire PR, marketing and events agency with an award-winning reputation for excellence in healthcare communications is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Orange Juice Communications, based in Brixworth, marked the milestone by raising a glass to a decade of ‘making a difference in diabetes’ – a sector in which it has become the go-to agency for global pharmaceutical giants and medical device manufacturers.
The agency started out as a ‘bedroom business’ and has grown into one of the county’s largest PR specialists, with a current team of 12 and plans to expand further in the coming months.
Managing director Oliver Jelley said:
“Reaching 10 years in business, despite everything that has been thrown at us including a global pandemic and an economic downturn, is no mean feat and it’s certainly something the team deserves to celebrate.
“We have worked hard to carefully carve a niche for ourselves, particularly within diabetes and optometry, and we enjoy working with some of the biggest names in ‘big pharma’. We see ourselves as a small family firm in rural Northamptonshire but with an ever-growing reach right around the world.”
Orange Juice pioneered the launch of two awareness campaigns within the diabetes sector, Hypo Awareness Week and Insulin Safety Week, which it runs every year across hundreds of UK hospitals. The concept has already been successfully exported to Australia and there are plans to roll this out further in the future.
These campaigns have improved the lives of people with diabetes by helping to reduce the number of episodes of hypoglycaemia, a potentially deadly short-term complication of diabetes, and improve insulin safety through vital awareness and education.
Orange Juice director Daniel Owens said:
“As a company, we were able to grow our client base throughout lockdown thanks to our ability to quickly pivot to a focus on supplying virtual events and webinars to healthcare clients.
“That has allowed us to significantly expand our offering beyond that of our core skills in PR, marketing and communications while also attracting other clients in new sectors such as engineering and aerospace.
“It’s a very different agency to the one we started 10 years ago and we’re all looking forward to seeing what the next decade brings, with plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline.”
As well as working around the world in healthcare, Orange Juice also works with a number of organisations locally, including Northampton College and Northampton Town Centre BID.
