Treating yourself means being the best you can be

Awareness is growing about the effects of the menopause and peri-menopause on women’s health and wellbeing and Kettering Park Hotel & Spa has taken that awareness one step further with a spa treatment package that could be just what’s needed.

Perfect for anyone who is feeling stressed, tired or demotivated, the gentle, caring treatments have been specifically designed with menopausal women in mind, and use a combination of hands-on massage and Himalayan Salt stones. The Templespa Your Best You massage, using Templespa nurturing skincare, includes rhythmic stretches and gentle joint rotation to relieve aching limbs, while a gentle lymph drainage facial reduces puffiness, leaving skin feeling fresh.

Andrew Hollett, General Manager at Kettering Park Hotel & Spa, said:

“This top-to-toe treatment, like all our treatments, is ideal for everyone, but we are particularly keen to showcase its benefits to women who are coping with the effects of the menopause. It com- bines treatments that can help bring relief to some of the symptoms and is a mood booster for when you need to feel your best again.”

The Your Best You treatment lasts 80 minutes and is £98 (£5 weekend supplement will apply) and is just one of a number of pampering options available at the hotel’s spa, which was recently nominated in the Best Large Hotel category at the East Midlands Tourism Enjoy England Excellence Awards.

The spa has a range of treatments using Templespa and Caudalie products including back, shoulder and body massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, nails, waxing and eyebrow and lash tinting.

Templespa Glorious Mud starts with lymphatic body brushing, followed by warm vitamin and mineral rich purifying mud being smoothed all over the body, then you’re cocooned in a cosy wrap while you enjoy a head massage. Templespa New Beginnings is a specialist massage for pregnant women and the Templespa Soul Soother includes lower legs exfoliation followed by a cooling and refreshing massage, then a shoulder, neck and scalp massage to target any knots and stress.

Full details of all the massages and treatments available, as well as spa days and longer spa breaks can be found at the Kettering Park Hotel & Spa website.

Andrew Hollett added:

“The stresses of life get to all of us from time to time and there’s nothing quite like being pampered for a while. It’s not just that we feel refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards, but the products are fantastic and leave the skin beautifully cared for, soft and healthy.

“For those who want to make it into an overnight stay or a week- end away, we have some very good packages available, including use of the gym and spa facilities and the chance to sample or excel- lent food and luxurious accommodation.”
