Students and staff at E-ACT Ousedale School, recently named Overall School of the Year at the Milton Keynes Education Awards, are celebrating another exceptional year of A-level results, with success across a wide range of subjects and university destinations.
This year, 45% of all grades awarded at Ousedale were B or higher with a fifth of grades being A*/A – a reflection of the dedication, talent and ambition of students and staff alike. The school, which is part of the E-ACT academy trust, continues to build on its reputation for academic excellence and strong pastoral support.

Ousedale Headteacher, Paul McFadden, said:
“These results represent years of hard work and commitment from our students, supported by exceptional teaching and guidance.
“Our Sixth Formers leave Ousedale with the character, confidence and sense of purpose to thrive in the world beyond school. I couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve achieved.
“We wish all of our sixth form students the very best of luck in their future endeavours and I am sure that they will be able to utilise their experiences at Ousedale to have continued success in the future.”
The performance of Year 13 students across E-ACT has improved this year, with gains in both attainment and provisional “value added” scores, which show that students are making better progress against their peers nationally.
This valued added figure shows how much progress A-level students made between the end of Key Stage 4 (GCSEs) and the end of their sixth form studies, compared to similar students in England.
Tom Campbell, CEO of E-ACT, added:
“Ousedale is a school that embodies excellence – today’s A-level results prove just that.
“It’s clear why the school was named Milton Keynes School of the Year. These results open doors for our students, and I’m proud of the values and vision that make Ousedale such a special place.”
This summer’s success follows a string of major award wins for the school. At the 2025 Milton Keynes Educational Awards, E-ACT Ousedale was named School of the Year, recognised for its innovation, strong academic outcomes, and outstanding whole-school impact.
Sixth form coordinator Claire Tierney received the prestigious ‘Unsung Hero’ Award, in recognition of her work leading community engagement initiatives, including intergenerational visits, charity drives, and student-led volunteering programmes.
The school also scooped the ‘Best Creative School’ title at the Milton Keynes Inspiration Awards, celebrating Ousedale’s commitment to creativity, self-expression, and opportunity for all.
