Outstanding results are the reward for magnificent effort

Pitsford School has announced an excellent set of GCSE results and praised the efforts of both students and staff for the school’s achievements this year.

The overall spread of top grades was excellent, in particular in English Language and Literature, which were the school’s best ever, and in Mathematics and Biology grades were outstanding.

Headteacher Dr Craig Walker, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s GCSE results, particularly as this year group is one that faced huge hurdles in Year 7 and 8 with the disruption caused by COVID-19.

“They have come through it with aplomb and their efforts, and those of the teaching staff, are magnificent and should be applauded.”

The GCSE results continue the celebrations at Pitsford School, which last week posted its best-ever proportion of A*-B grades at A level, with the vast majority of students securing their first choice of university.

Pitsford, which takes children from ages three to 18, prioritises small class sizes where every pupil is seen and known and allowed to flourish. Set in 32 acres of parkland in Pitsford village, the school offers state-of-the-art buildings and facilities including a new sports centre with extensive opportunities for outdoor based learning for all Pitsford pupils.

Pitsford School will be holding an Open Day on Saturday, October 4. To find out more and to book a visit, call 01604 880306 or go to the website www.pitsfordschool.com
