Celebrity favourite launches free taster sessions in London over Easter

Families and thrill-seekers heading to London this Easter have a new reason to visit, as celebrity-favourite immersive leisure brand Activate has launched free 20-minute taster sessions across the capital.

The experience, which has attracted high-profile fans including Myleene Klass and Simon Cowell’s new band December 10, is now offering the free 20 minute taster sessions at two of its five London venues – Vauxhall and Westfield White City – over the bank holiday period.

The free taster session is designed to showcase what Activate has to offer, with participants given the option to extend their experience to a full hour for an additional fee. Pricing for the extended session is set at £19.95 during peak hours – Fridays, holidays, and weekends from 10am to 1pm and from 6pm onwards. The usual full price is £29.95, representing a saving of 33.5%.

Off-peak sessions are available from £9.95 at any time, compared to the standard price of £22.95 – a saving of 56.6%.

Activate has quickly become a go-to destination for Gen Z, young professionals and groups seeking fun, fast-paced activities with a social edge – making it a standout option for Easter get-togethers. Groups of two to five players can jump, climb and problem-solve their way through high-energy, interactive game rooms featuring lasers (reminiscent of a scene from Mission Impossible), grids, hoops and portals – a thrilling mix of live-action challenges and futuristic technology.

The experience has also attracted celebrity fans, including Myleene Klass and Simon Cowell’s new band December 10, further cementing its status as one of London’s most talked-about activities.

The latest Activate venue opened in Islington Square last month, following the launch of three new London locations in December, including Oxford Street, Westfield White City and Vauxhall. The first UK Activate site opened at The O2 in December 2024.

“By launching these taster sessions, we hope to introduce our unique experiences to a wider audience,” said Rich Beese, co-founder of We Do Play, the experiential leisure group behind the UK launch of Activate. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for people to come in, have fun and see what we’re all about.”

Bookings are limited to one per person, ensuring that as many individuals as possible can take advantage of the offer. Interested participants can book sessions via the Activate website or directly at the venues.

Activate’s initiative reflects a growing trend among businesses to offer trial experiences, helping to build a loyal customer base while encouraging community engagement.
