A platform to celebrate success and learn from others

Europa Warehouse at Corby not only played host to a recent networking event to promote this year’s Northamptonshire Logistics Awards, but spoke highly of the event, and the benefits the company has seen after winning two awards last year.

Among those taking part in the event were past winners, who spoke about what it meant to them to be recognised for their efforts in the logistics and warehousing sector in previous years. They were joined by some of this year’s sponsors and one of last year’s judges, who had provided food for thought for those looking to enter one of this year’s 13 categories.

Entries for the awards, which will take place on Friday, October 11 at the Northampton Town Centre Hotel, are now open. The awards, which are once again headline sponsored by MHA this year, were created to celebrate the successes of everyone working in the logistics industry at every level, and to bring the community together to recognise the importance of the sector to Northamptonshire and the county’s position in the ‘golden triangle’

Sally Watson, Head of Logistics Sales at Europa Warehouse Corby, said:

A platform to celebrate success and learn from others“Despite being in business for over 50 years, Europa Warehouse was still perceived to be the ‘new kid on the block’. However, with the opening of our flagship warehouse in Corby in 2020 and the launch of our automated 3PL fulfilment capability in 2022, we were keen to challenge that perception.

“One way to achieve that was through events that connected us with like-minded professionals, that aligned our values and that provided a platform to share our successes and learn from others.

A platform to celebrate success and learn from others“The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards are an event in our backyard, celebrating the best of logistics excellence. We submitted an entry in 2022 and although not successful, we had an amazing night. Roll forward to 2023 and we poured our heart and souls into our submissions for Big Logistics Company of the Year and the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Award.

“Winning both awards was a watershed moment for Europa Warehouse. It wasn’t just about the recognition; it was about the validation of our hard work, dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. It was a testament to the talent, passion and expertise of every member of our team.

“The impact doesn’t stop there, winning has elevated our status within the industry and beyond. We proudly share our winner badge on all presentations, and it signals to our clients, partners and stakeholders that when they choose Europa Warehouse, they’re choosing a company that has been recognised for its outstanding achievements and exceptional service.

“To win amongst the top tier of our peers in Northamptonshire (the mecca of warehousing) is a validation of our shared values – integrity, innovation and customer-centricity – which guide everything we do.

“We’ll be submitting our entries again this year as it’s a great opportunity to showcase our achievements, connect with our peers, and inspire others in the industry.”

Awards Founder Charlotte Patrick said:

“This was a well-attended event to help us kickstart the awards for this year, following our launch in March. Each year the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards grow in stature and we get amazing feedback from past winners about how important success was to them.

“We’re very grateful to Europa Warehouse in Corby for hosting us, and to our headline sponsor MHA and all our sponsors for supporting us again this year, which we hope will be one of the biggest and most successful events yet.”
