Charity places available for those looking for a new challenge

For anyone looking for a new challenge, a reason to get moving, or a way to make a real difference in the community, Northampton Saints Foundation is inviting walkers and runners of all abilities to take part in an exciting series of events across the country.

The events, which include the Brighton Marathon, Santa in the City events and the Leicestershire Half Marathon, will give participants the chance to raise vital funds to support children, young people and adults in the community.

Whether it’s a 5K, 10k, half or full marathon, the list includes an event that would suit everyone who wants to take a step towards helping transform lives.

Anyone who has applied for a place in the general ballots for running events and missed out can benefit from the charity places available through Northampton Saints Foundation, offering a fantastic opportunity to still be part of some incredible events. Runners can choose to run alone, with friends, family, or colleagues, and everyone who enters will receive a fundraising pack from Northampton Saints Foundation, complete with tips on how to boost fundraising, set up a fundraising page, and to keep motivated.

Running for Northampton Saints Foundation will help the charity continue to use the power of sport and the values of rugby to empower young minds and enrich lives across generations. Its work is driven by three key aims: to Inspire – using its history to build positive futures within the community; to Support – empowering people to enhance their wellbeing, build strong relationships and feel a sense of belonging; and to Educate – nurturing learning, personal growth, and essential life skills through physical, social, emotional and academic development.

Northampton Saints Foundation will stay in touch with all those who register throughout their journey to support them every step of the way.

Every mile run and every pound raised makes a difference. Just £3.50 provides a healthy lunch for a student, £7.50 funds a sports session to boost mental and physical health, £25 supplies workbooks for ten students to track their progress, and £60 covers an art therapy session for nine students.

So, whether you’re completely new to running, thrive on competition, or simply want to step outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself, celebrate your achievement and help others build brighter futures.
