Dedicated matchday space opens up to welcome charities

Northampton Town Football Club recently had the pleasure of welcoming NARA, The Breathing Charity into the Tempeo Community Lounge for the very first time, as part of a new community initiative facilitated by Tempeo Recruitment.

The Tempeo Community Lounge has been created as a dedicated space at Sixfields Stadium to give back to the local community, offering a warm and welcoming environment for local charities to come together and enjoy matchdays in comfort and connection.

While Tempeo Recruitment facilitates and supports the overall community lounge initiative, each charity day is proudly sponsored and run by a different local business. For the opening event, Dan’s Motor Repairs sponsored and hosted the day in support of NARA, The Breathing Charity, helping to create a fantastic experience for representatives, volunteers, and guests alike.

This special day also marked NARA’s 40th anniversary, adding an extra layer of celebration to a fun-filled matchday experience that truly captured the spirit of community and compassion.

Mick Jiggle from NARA, The Breathing Charity, said: “We feel more relevant today than we did 40 years ago, and it’s companies like Dan’s Motor Repairs and Tempeo’s support that make it all possible.”

James Corrigan, Commercial Director at Northampton Town Football Club, said: “This partnership with Tempeo Recruitment is a wonderful example of what our club stands for. The Tempeo Community Lounge has become a space that celebrates compassion and community spirit. Seeing NARA enjoy such a memorable day was very special, and it highlights the real difference that football can make beyond the pitch.”

There will be at least five more Tempeo Community Days hosted throughout the 2025–26 season, each dedicated to a different local charity, with support from local businesses who will sponsor and help deliver each event.

Both Tempeo Recruitment and Northampton Town Football Club offered thanks to Dan’s Motor Repairs and everyone involved in making the first community day such a success.

The club is looking forward to welcoming more charities to the Tempeo Community Lounge in the coming weeks and continuing to celebrate the incredible work being done across the community.
