Simply Techspace, founded by Matt Dann, works with leading manufacturers to supply and install stock management and IT systems that deliver fulfilment without a hitch. That could be anything from hand-held, vehicle mounted and wearable computers, to screens displaying real-time information, barcode and RFID printers and scanners, and environmental sensors.
The company can also install and maintain office admin systems, and provide 24/7 support and back-up, as well as devices for drivers that open up opportunities for logistics providers to offer their own customers up-to-the-minute information about arrival times, invoices and delivery documents. “Then we can install flooring, racking and a loading area, maybe office space, kitchens and meeting rooms, and then look at how they can make the most of their technology. For a large space, we can create flow lines and heat maps that help identify the optimum positioning for wifi and telephony, so that every inch of the building has the coverage and communication it needs.
“With all the information that goes through various systems throughout the logistics process, it’s vital that data is secure, and that is something clients are turning to us for advice on more and more. Cyber attacks can have devastating effects and sensitive data being compromised is hugely damaging, and we can help them make sure that all their technology and communications have the protection they need to safeguard themselves and their customers.”
