Over the last year, we have been continually impressed by the resilience and innovation of our small business occupiers in addressing the challenges COVID has presented. As we emerge from what we all hope will be the UK’s final lockdown, there is real hope that our world-leading vaccine roll out will herald a steady return to permanent normality for the business sector. We sense increasing optimism throughout the diverse occupier base at our 58 centres throughout the UK and, with enquiries at record levels, we look forward to providing new customers with a home for their business at Flexspace Northampton.

For many, the novelty of home working has evaporated. More flexible working practices will be a permanent feature of business life, but many businesses want their own space and prosper in the professional, collaborative and social environment that our Northampton business centre provides.

A January 2020 survey by SME Loans found that 64% of the UK workforce wants to set up a business and the pandemic seems to have driven the entrepreneurial spirit of the nation even further over the last year. 768,777 new companies were incorporated in the UK in 2020, an 8.5% increase on 2019 (Source: Companies House) and this figure excludes the large number of sole traders also setting up their own businesses.

We provide units from 75 square feet, suitable for one person, right up to 2,000 square feet, suitable for 20 or more, so you can stay with us and upsize as your business grows.

Our simple, plain English licence agreements are available for periods of six months upwards and offer fixed pricing to help with budgeting.

Versatility

Recent changes in the planning system mean that our versatile units can now accommodate businesses in the e-Commerce, medical/health and wellbeing sectors, further expanding our already diverse range of occupiers.

Great Value

 Our units are competitively priced and all have access to kitchenette and break out areas. Offices are provided fully furnished and utilities are included in the price. Most of our units qualify for Small Business Rates Relief, meaning that many of our customers are not liable for payment of business rates (subject to confirmation with Northampton Borough Council).

Parking 

Flexspace Northampton is located at the heart of Moulton Park and offers free surface car parking and cycle racks immediately outside the building, with CCTV covering all areas.

Super-Fast Internet and Telecoms 

Flexspace Northampton benefits from 1Gb super-fast broadband and plug and play telephony. We can get your businesses up and running straight away with none of the usual frustrations of waiting for broadband and telecoms to be connected or sharing  low- capacity connections with other users at home.

Lower Density Working

At Flexspace we operate at low occupational densities of one person: 75 square feet or greater. Not only does this create a more pleasant and comfortable working environment, it means our units all readily comply with social distancing measures.

Collaborative Space and Meeting Rooms

Our centre boasts a modern 26-person meeting/conference room and a very impressive communal breakout area on the first floor, together with other smaller meeting rooms throughout the building. Whilst ongoing COVID measures mean there are currently some restrictions on the use of these spaces, we can make meeting rooms available for full day bookings and look forward to bringing them back to normal operation as COVID measures are lifted.

COVID 19 Compliance 

Whilst we all hope 2021 is more about business and less about COVID, it is important to confirm the measures we have taken to ensure COVID-19 compliance throughout Flexspace Northampton. Signage is in place to remind those on site of their hygiene and social distancing responsibilities with one in, one out measures in place in confined areas. Furniture has been removed in some areas and an enhanced cleaning regime is in place, focusing on communal areas and increased daily cleaning of touch points. Virucidal spray and hand sanitisers are provided for use in communal areas. We will continue to follow and enforce government guidelines with the ongoing safety of our team, customers and visitors of paramount importance.
