Introducing the tax team
Hawsons is always happy to welcome new faces to the team.
Chris Hill, Senior Partner at the firm, said:

In Northampton, the current specialist tax team has welcomed three additions over the last year. The tax department comprises David Cairns, Aaron Hemmington, Gareth Davies, Dalia Qarawi, Rachel Barber and Marah Qarawi.
David and Aaron both provide a wide range of tax services for a variety of clients as Northampton Tax Partners.
Gareth joined the firm from school, completing his chartered accountancy qualification and now specialises in tax, mainly focusing on business taxes. Dalia started at Hawsons in April 2021 and works in the private client team. Marah joined to support the team predominantly with private client work and Rachel started in February 2022, dealing with a variety of private client and business tax.
Rachel Barber said:
“Since joining Hawsons, I have enjoyed getting to know everyone, I was welcomed and feel settled already. I work well with my colleagues, learning more about different aspects of tax every day and I have made lots of progress in my new role already.”
The new tax team will be out and about in upcoming charity events. Dalia, Gareth and Marah are participating in the Peak District Challenge, walking 50K in a day in mid-July, with colleagues Rhiannon Mistry, David Owens and Will Amos. They have chosen to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research and are looking forward to hours of training ahead of the walk!
