Episode 25 | Celebrating & Recognising The Very Best Of Northamptonshire

Ben and Frazer return for the final time in 2022. This time they’re recapping the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards and the Northamptonshire Education Awards, held on back-to-back nights in the 10th & 11th November 2022.

Looking Back At The Awards

Both Ben and Frazer are very happy with how the nights went, with Ben describing the Business Awards as a career highlight. He acknowledges there is always room for improvement but rates the night a ‘solid 9/10’.

Over 500 business people were in attendance across 53 tables and there are plenty of people expressing FOMO both in public and private over LinkedIn messages to Ben and Frazer. Paddy McGuinness was an excellent host and it was a pleasure to shine a light on the full range of businesses operating in Northamptonshire. While shoes and motorsport are the main historical specialties, sectors like logistics and food and drink now form a large part of the county’s economy. Ben and Frazer thank the sponsors for enabling them to put on such a fantastic event and sharing their vision and passion for the local business community.

The Education Awards went just as well, despite host Eamonn Holmes having a medical emergency and being unable to attend at the last minute. Thankfully, Louie Spence of Pineapple Dance Studios fame was on-hand to save the night, making a spectacular entrance and doing an excellent job of hosting. This event was the third edition of the Education Awards, and the biggest yet. Hospital and Outreach Education took home two awards and are highlighted by Ben and Faazer as excellent representatives of the best the sector has to offer.

The duo sign off by thanking the audience for listening throughout the year, and wishing them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2023.
