It’s a quick special edition from our regular hosts Ben and Frazer to mark some important milestones for All Things Business.
Both hosts share their excitement for the coming month. It’s awards season, with the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards on Thursday 9th November and the Northamptonshire Education Awards on Friday 10th November approaching later that week, both produced by All Things Business. Ben and Frazer are hard at work to produce the best possible awards shows for Northamptonshire’s education and business communities. 150th Edition of All Things Business Magazine
Plus, it’s the 150th edition of All Things Business magazine! Ben has been there from the start, with Frazer joining at issue 48 in November 2019. Both reflect on how much has changed since then, and Frazer says that, despite the chaos of the past few years with the pandemic and various other economic pressures, All Things Business has continued to flourish, with the brand getting stronger and reach increasing.
Frazer calls back to his favourite front page, the edition published in May 2020 which featured an amazing shot of car valetters GTechniq on the cover. However, it’s not just the strong image that made it memorable. This edition came out during the early part of the pandemic and both believe it cemented ATB as the respected business publication that it is and helped to make a difference to the business community during the pandemic.
Northamptonshire Award Ceremonies
Both Ben and Frazer attended the Food and Drink Awards last week at the Derngate and had a great time. The event set the bar for business awards, one which Ben hopes to meet when it comes to ATB’s events. Industry awards allow for unique stories to be told that wouldn’t otherwise be recognised, giving the example of Houghton Hams in Moulton Park who were spotlighted via the Food & Drink Awards.
Talk turns back to the Northamptonshire awards ceremonies. Both events will be the biggest yet with over 500 in attendance for the business awards and over 400 for the education awards. Neither are nervous at the time of recording, but they know the nerves are due any day now.
Frazer is looking forward to the awarding of School Business Manager of the Year, which he thinks can be quite an underappreciated role, as well as the Food & Drink Award and catching up with host Eamonn Holmes at the Northamptonshire Education Awards.
