A slightly unusual episode of All Things Business – The Podcast, with no guest this time. It’s Ben and Frazer, but this may be the last time we see them on screen together. Frazer will be leaving the All Things Business ‘conglomerate’. He’s still around till April, but this is his podcast send-off. Ben reflects on Frazer’s time with All Things Business, and the impact he has had across All Things Business’s channels.
Frazer’s Journey at ATB
Frazer joined ATB on 3rd November 2019, arriving at the old ATB offices at the Innovation Centre. He didn’t have a desk initially and spent a lot of time at Beckworth Emporium to work. As soon as he got his desk, the pandemic arrived and he didn’t get to use it for four months while working from home.
His first Thursday on the job was the 2019 edition of the Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards. Ben says that was the day he knew had made a good decision hiring Frazer, who excelled in the high-pressure environment.
Frazer’s Highlight
Ben asks what Frazer’s highlight of his time at All Things Business has been? Frazer explains that his highlight has been nurturing the growth of every aspect of the business. The publication now has a third edition in London, and the Northampton and Milton Keynes editions are now the undisputed largest business publications in their areas. On social, the level of engagement is high and content is delivered regularly and consistently. The podcast is the strongest it’s ever been and now gets incredible guests like Rory Sutherland and Eamonn Holmes.
It’s a marked improvement from December 2019, with the magazine now having a completely different look and feel than back then. The whole team has contributed to that, and Frazer knows the publication is in an excellent place.
Ben is feeling reflective, and reiterates his saying that ‘life is about creating memories’. As a result, he’s sending Frazer and his sons to an Aston Villa game as his way of saying thank you to Frazer for his contribution over the past few years, especially during the pandemic.
The podcast finishes up with some of Frazer’s best bits from outtakes throughout the years.
