Investment in technology, strategically located hubs across the UK, and a focus on ensuring the customer is always front and centre has made AIT Home Delivery the leading two-person, white glove delivery company in the country.
The US-based company, which has its UK headquarters in Northampton, reshaped the home delivery landscape by introducing a model that has become an industry benchmark; it took what was often seen as a premium service and created a standard that is now an expectation among retailers and consumers.
AIT Home Delivery reaches more than 98% of the population with its next-day services. Those services go hand-in-hand with comprehensive choices that include nominated day options, timed delivery slots, weekend services including returns, and a suite of premium offerings such as delivery to the room of the customer’s choice, unpacking, packaging removal and product assembly.

Samuel Scott, Sales Director – Europe and UK, said: “Our ethos has always been that the customer is top of mind across every stage of the delivery process, from when an order is placed through to the final point of delivery. Th e aim has been to provide a reliable home delivery solution as standard, no matter where our customers are located.
“In addition to that, our premium service gives customers the option of having TVs mounted on the wall and set up ready to go, installing appliances and disposing of the old ones, gym equipment configuration and premium time slots.”
The AIT Home Delivery approach led to the company being named Home Delivery Operator of the Year at the 2025 Motor Transport Awards last September, an award that is widely regarded as the highest accolade in the transport and logistics industry.
It has also been a key factor in winning contracts with the likes of Sky, Samsung, TEMPUR, Bed Kingdom and audio-visual technology provider TVD Group, all looking to roll out the services of AIT Home Delivery to their own customers.
The foundations of the AIT Home Delivery service offering are:
- Two-hour delivery window
- Next-day delivery, seven days a week, with 9pm cut-off time
- White glove delivery to room of choice
- Full order tracking capabilities
- Unpacking and removal of packaging of standard
- Telephone call 30-60 minutes before delivery driver arrival time

Success has been achieved in no small part thanks to significant investment in bespoke, proprietary, cloud-based technology, fully integrated with operational routing and financial systems. Advanced tracking and customer communication solutions ensure that recipients are informed and supported at every stage of the journey to provide a seamless final-mile delivery experience.
Clients receive full end-to-end order tracking services through direct access to AIT’s track and trace system while customers can track orders through the Track My Order portal.
In addition, ongoing investment in infrastructure, technology and fleet continues to strengthen operational capability. Most recently, the business introduced 35 new MAN TGS 4×2 tractor units, enhancing trunking capacity and network resilience. Five of these vehicles are currently trialling hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a renewable diesel alternative capable of reducing CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to traditional fuels.
Twelve hubs across the UK, including Northampton, Bristol, Bracknell, Gateshead, Moulton Park, Warrington, Bridgewater, Seaham, Republic of Ireland and Swindon, and the two most recent additions, in Glasgow and Enfield, are fundamental to the reliability and customer service offering.
Also available is a warehousing proposition that includes multi-user facilities with loading bays, dock levellers, cutting edge warehouse management systems and 24/7 security across racked storage, bulk storage, fulfilment and inventory services.

Gary McKelvey, Vice President Global Home Delivery Operations, said: “Our focus has always been to earn our customers’ trust, so significant investment in technology and infrastructure, and creating a service that gives our customers what they are looking for, has been central to how AIT Home Delivery operates
“Front and centre are the customers, the people who are getting their goods delivered when they want them. It’s also about finding the right balance between efficiency and service while actively reducing the environmental impact as far as we are able.
“As sustainability becomes an increasing priority for retailers and end consumers, we are committed to ensuring operations evolve in line with market expectations and environmental responsibility.
“Sustainability forms an important part of operations at AIT Home Delivery. An ethical and responsible work culture underpins the success of our company, and our values and principles are purposely designed to take human rights and social, economic and environmental impacts into consideration.”
