Revolutionise the way your business works

While it has the capacity to revolutionise working practices and make day-to-day planning easier and more effective, AI is still often viewed with caution, confusion and even apprehension.

In order to cut through some of the concerns and give businesses insight into how AI, in particular Microsoft 365 Copilot, can be used to increase productivity, improve decision making and collaboration, protect data and structure working practices, NewGen IT Services is hosting a webinar later this month.

‘Copilot for Microsoft’, on July 9 from 11am, will aim to show businesses and organisations the capabilities of the platform and advise on the features and benefits of Copilot, including live demos and an interactive question and answer session.

Matt Garratt, Sales Director at NewGen IT Services, said: “On the whole, people still seem to be unsure about AI, there are people who think it will take their jobs, and people who don’t trust it, so we want to take them through the process and show them what a difference Copilot can make to their day-to-day lives.

“AI isn’t new or in its infancy. Those old enough will remember Clippy, the Microsoft icon that used to pop up to answer your questions. That was just a fairly simple form of AI, so it’s been around for years, but it has now evolved into something that can make a huge difference to the way we work.”

Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI-powered tool that helps with work tasks. Users enter a prompt, and Copilot responds in real-time with a response that might include internet-based content or internal work content that users have permission to access, or both.

Copilot can also be used with an organisation’s data sources to provide real-time information, to those with permission to access it, about company processes. That might include product availability, the progress of a report, or shipping and delivery details. Copilot also pairs with Microsoft 365 productivity apps that businesses use every day, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Matt added: “AI can be used for so much more than just helping you write emails. It’s not there to replace people or totally automate processes but instead, it can help formulate how the working day is structured.

“Take the meeting transcription tool, for instance, which picks up on tone of voice, and provides a full transcript of the meeting, as well as a summary and potential action points and next steps. That takes a lot of the graft out of the day.

“People are used to open AI systems, like ChatGPT, where you ask a question and it searches the internet and gives you an answer. Copilot is not open, all your internal data is protected and will not be accessible to anyone without the right permissions.”

NewGen IT Services is a Northamptonshire company that operates with a focus on establishing long-lasting customer relationships to become a IT partner, providing the smartest, most cost-effective solutions tailored to the needs of clients.

The team understands that behind every IT challenge is a business goal and is committed to helping their clients achieve those goals without the stress.

Matt said: “We are all creatures of habit but at NewGen IT we want to encourage people to embrace change, use technological advances and knowledge to get the most out of their working day.

“Unlike some Microsoft tools, Copilot doesn’t offer a trial period, so we understand that it’s important to find out as much as you can about it before committing and that’s why we’re hosting this webinar. It’s open to everyone, we’ll provide an introduction that shows the positives and benefits of AI to get people to change the way they think about it.

“Every business will use Copilot differently depending on which applications they use, we will give an overview of the possibilities during the webinar. As a IT solutions provider we pride ourselves on being a consultative partner, who can off er more insight into how Copilot could benefit business growth and help them through their IT journey.

“There are lots of case examples that demonstrate how Copilot integrates into any type of business or organisation. A lot of newer devices have a Copilot button, but people aren’t sure what it can do, but once you start using Copilot, you will soon see how easy it is and how it can transform the way you work, ultimately save you time in your working day”
