Sign In App Chooses to Support Mental Health Charity

As part of its continued efforts to raise money for worthy causes, Sign In App, developer of the one of the world’s leading visitor management apps announces that it has chosen The Lowdown as its UK 2021 Charity of the Year. The Lowdown is a voluntary mental health charity, providing free and confidential counselling, emotional wellbeing, sexual health and LGBTQ support services for 11-25 year olds across the Northamptonshire area, local to Sign In App’s UK HQ.

As we reflect on the last year, businesses large and small have had to quickly adapt to new challenges, and charities haven’t had it easy either. Face to face support is invaluable and charities like The Lowdown have supported people through many difficulties and setbacks; young individuals simply not getting the support they need during a time when mental health support is more urgent than ever. In order to give back to the local community, the Sign In App team wanted to support The Lowdown in helping the younger generation to receive the counselling they require and to regain their lost confidence.

To raise as much money as possible for the local charity, Sign In App will be hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to improve awareness and support for the younger generation. Pride Month 2021 will kick off the fundraising efforts with 10% of subscriptions during June being contributed towards The Lowdown. The first team event will see staff across various departments at Sign In App tying their shoelaces and preparing to get very muddy by participating in The Wolf Run. This event will be hosted at Stanford Hall, Leicestershire on Saturday 3rd July and spectators are welcome. The Wolf Run is not for the faint hearted and involves team members completing an obstacle course over 10km in thick mud.

“Our goal is to increase awareness of the charity, throughout Northampton and beyond, so that we can raise support and funding for The Lowdown through our global connections. As a business, we’re all really passionate about raising awareness of mental health and we are looking forward to working with The Lowdown, and supporting the charity with a wide range of fundraising events (some not including mud!) throughout the year”,

comments Amy Bampton, Marketing Manager for Sign In App.

Dan Harding, CEO of Sign In App adds,

We are excited to support a charity within our local community. As we work towards completing The Wolf Run together as a team, we will also be celebrating Pride Month 2021 and demonstrating our commitment to growing a diverse workforce. With every new subscription confirmed in June, Sign In App will be donating 10% of each payment to The Lowdown. Together we are looking forward to raising as much awareness of the charity’s cause as possible and fundraising for a great cause.”

Ellie White, Fundraising and Marketing Manager of The Lowdown concludes,

“We are looking forward to working with Sign In App and are so grateful for the team’s continued support of our essential work. We believe there is no need for young people to experience difficult situations alone and are determined to spread our message and promote our services with the help of our fantastic charity partners.”
