Local accountancy and business advisory firm TC Group, which proudly ranks within the Accountancy Age Top 20, celebrated a series of senior promotions at the start of the year, reinforcing its long-term commitment to people, leadership and exceptional client experience.
Spanning Associate Director through to Partner, the promotions reflect TC Group’s long-held belief that sustainable business growth starts with growing great people. For owner-managed businesses, this investment in the senior leadership team translates directly into continuity of service, deeper relationships, and trusted advisors who understand their business journey, not just at a single point in time, but over many years.
“These appointments recognise not only individual achievement, but also the long-standing commitment, leadership and positive impact each person continues to have on our clients, teams and the wider business,” said Stephen Watts, Chief Operating Officer.
Leading corporate finance excellence
One significant promotion sees Patrick Faughnan appointed Partner – Head of Corporate Finance (CF).
As one of ten Partners in TC SEM, the partner firm comprising TC Group’s Northampton, Milton Keynes, Leicester and Southampton offices, Patrick now plays a ‘hands-on’ senior leadership and ownership role.
Th is promotion follows a standout year for Patrick and TC’s CF team. Last year, Patrick was named Dealmaker of the Year at the Insider Central & East Dealmakers Awards, a recognition that highlighted both his expertise and the strength of the wider CF team. The team itself received multiple nominations, including Corporate Finance Advisory Firm of the Year, Transaction Services Team of the Year and Matt Ritchie as Emerging Dealmaker of the Year, reflecting the growing reputation, depth of talent, and consistent performance within the service line.
Building on this momentum, Patrick has recently been shortlisted for the UK Dealmakers Awards 2026 in the same category, representing the Central & East region. His achievement of the flagship Dealmaker of the Year award alongside fantastic feedback received from the wider corporate finance community, reflects the impact of Patrick’s work. This follows the CF’s team’s earlier success in securing the corresponding Team of the Year title.
Ben Young, Partner, said: “Patrick has been an active contributor to the senior leadership board, helping shape the wider development of the practice and drive the success of our strategic initiatives. This clearly demonstrates and underpins the value he will provide moving forward. Recognising Patrick’s longstanding achievements through this prominent promotion’s something TC Group trusts will both inspire its teams and reflect the sustained growth and strength of its advisory services.”
