PragmatiQ Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner based in Milton Keynes, have recently announced their latest hire, Brendan Sykes, as Solution Architect. As the business continues to go from strength to strength, Brendan shares an insight into the role of a Solution Architect and his thoughts on the new position:
Tell us a bit about yourself and your reason for joining the team at PragmatiQ Solutions
I have been working in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 space, either as a trusted partner or managing systems for end users, since 2008. Having built up extensive experience within large corporates, I wanted an exciting new challenge and felt like now was the right time to join a growing, fast-paced business. Additionally, as I live in the North East, the pandemic presented an opportunity to work remotely for PragmatiQ Solutions, so it felt like a good move. The culture at PragmatiQ cemented my decision, as there is a real family feel to the team and a clear desire to deliver quality solutions for clients.
What does being a Solution Architect mean?
My new role as Solution Architect at PragmatiQ Solutions means I support the Technical Director, to take responsibility for the successful delivery of a client’s solution. I work closely with our customers to truly understand their business, processes, challenges and goals, to ensure we can advise on the right technology.
At PragmatiQ, we leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform to design and develop tailored solutions for businesses. Therefore, my role is crucial to understanding an organisation’s business model, how they work, what they want to achieve, their challenges, customers, etc, to build trust and lay the foundations for success. The structure within PragmatiQ allows me to remain close to the solutions and clients, ensuring we build systems that deliver significant value.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
As I mentioned at the start, I am really looking forward to working within a growing business at such an exciting time in its development. PragmatiQ Solutions have had great success over the last few years and are continuing to thrive in the cloud-based software space, so I’m very much looking forward to being a part of that journey.
We have a dedicated and talented technical team at PragmatiQ, so working closely with them is something I am also excited about, along with meeting them in our new offices in the not-too-distant future.
For me personally, I love figuring out how technology can solve business challenges. I’m lucky to be part of a company that values the same thing and is continually investing in the team’s development, so I’m excited to see where that takes us. Additionally, Microsoft are continually enhancing the platform, so remaining close to the technology and immersing myself in the industry is something I continue to look forward to in my new role.
