A junior football team in Northampton is hoping to take away more than just three points after bagging a tasty sponsorship deal with an award-winning town centre restaurant.
Delapré Dragons under 13s will be sporting Saffron on their shirts for the next two seasons as part of the deal with the Castilian Street curry house.
Team manager Steve Going said:
“We are thrilled to have the support of Saffron. We are all about giving kids a chance to do something they enjoy and Saffron’s community spirit is legendary so it feels like the perfect match.”
The restaurant, which specialises in traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and is committed to supporting local charities and good causes.
Owner Naz Islam said:
“We have been looking to sponsor a team for a while now and when the opportunity to get involved with Delapré Dragons came along we immediately said yes. They are an excellent club with a real community feel and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
