Delapré Abbey will reopen its historic House in February 2026, launching a landmark year celebrating 80 years of public ownership. The reopening coincides with February Half Term, offering families and visitors the opportunity to explore the Abbey and take part in a packed programme of activities.Â
Following its recognition as Venue of the Year at the 2025 Northamptonshire Business Excellence Awards, Delapré Abbey celebrates 80 years of public ownership, the 2026 programme reflects its ongoing commitment to learning, creativity, wellbeing and shared experiences. With its Half Term reopening and an exciting spring schedule, 2026 is set to be a milestone year for this much-loved heritage site.Â
February Half Term will feature a range of family-friendly activities, guided tours, and special events celebrating the Abbey’s 80-year journey as a public heritage site.
Highlights include Preacher the Storyteller: 80 Years on Wednesday 18th February 2026, with interactive storytelling sessions at 11:30, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:00, inviting visitors to journey back through time and become part of the Abbey’s story. Led by Preacher the Storyteller, the event brings history to life for audiences of all ages. General admission to the House will resume at £5 for adults, with free entry for under-18s.Â
The spring programme, running from February to April 2026, includes the return of popular Murder Mystery evenings in February and March, as well as the relaunch of the Abbey’s theatre programme with performances such as Library of Screams and Macbeth.
Visitors can also enjoy a Birds of Prey display on 22nd March with £5 tickets including free entry to the House. Family favourites such as the annual Easter Eggstravaganza will return during the Easter holidays from Friday 3rd to Monday 6th April.
