Last month, cricketing royalty Darren Gough headlined the most recent edition of Onside, Milton Keynes Dons’ business networking club.
With Darren completing the line up for this season alongside David Pleat (football) and Chris Ashton (rugby), members have been treated to a unique insight into professional sport, celebrations, marginal gains and, in later life, how this experience has benefited their respective business careers.
“It was great to welcome Darren to the event,” said Mark Davies, Chief Commercial Officer at the Dons. “For many of the business leaders there, he played a massive part in their sporting memories as children, and having transitioned from sport through to business, it was fascinating to hear what’s happened away from the TV cameras.”
After the event, attendees were treated to the match that followed, a closely fought win against Colchester United, as the club pushes for promotion.
Onside forms part of the club’s Club Gold membership, which allows members to network all year around, be it matchday and non-matchday.
Whilst memberships are closed for this season (25/26) people are now able to join for the 26/27 season, with memberships priced at £850 plus VAT, which includes:

- Dedicated VIP entrance through the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel
