Milton Keynes, UK – Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), a global leader in power solutions, has invested in a new, upgraded site for its Milton Keynes battery development operations, strengthening its ability to design advanced battery technologies while supporting the UK’s role in clean energy innovation and advanced manufacturing.
The Accelera™ by Cummins research and development facility is the result of a £10 million investment in the site and includes new laser welding equipment, additional testing capabilities and a broader range of electrochemistry systems. These capabilities support the continued development of battery pack technologies for the transportation sector and demonstrate Cummins’ commitment to supporting highly skilled engineering roles in Milton Keynes.
