New luxury holiday home development unveiled following major investment programme

Allens Caravans, one of the UK’s longest-established family-run residential and holiday park operators with nearly 80 years of heritage, has announced plans to build a brand-new development of 17 luxury holiday homes at its picturesque Overstone Lakes park in Northamptonshire, which go on sale today (30 March) and will be available to move in this summer.

Set within the most prestigious part of the park, known as The Green, the new homes represent a premium addition to the Overstone Lakes offering. Designed for modern holiday living with 16 single and one double plot available, buyers can choose from four high-quality models: the Willerby Malton Elite, ABI Henley, Beverley Norwood and ABI Balmoral. Prices for the new homes start from £135,000, reflecting their prime location and upgraded specification. The homes will be available for sale from 30 March, with move in anticipated from early July – perfectly timed for the summer season.

The ABI Henley is part of a specially curated range of six holiday homes for Allens Collection, handpicked by the Allens family that is unique to their parks.

The launch forms part of a significant two-year investment programme across the Allens Caravans portfolio, as the fourth-generation family business continues to evolve and enhance its parks for a new generation of holidaymakers and homeowners.

Overstone Lakes, renowned as a tranquil lakeside retreat and a haven for anglers, is set within a naturally beautiful landscape, complete with fishing lakes and scenic nature trails. As part of the wider investment, the park has undergone extensive refurbishment and upgrades to its facilities.

Enhancements include a fully refurbished, state-of-the-art clubhouse, a new fish and chip shop, and an outdoor container bar and stage that will host live performances and visiting entertainment. Seven large TV screens have also been installed to broadcast live sports, creating a vibrant social hub for holiday homeowners.

Further improvements include a new enclosed dog walking area, as well as upgrades to the swimming pool, changing facilities, and poolside bar and café.

For over-50s looking to downsize and opt for a slower pace of life, there is a very limited number of homes left to buy in a new residential development at Overstone Lakes with prices from £260,000.

James Allen, CEO of Allens Caravans, said:

“Overstone Lakes is in a magical, tranquil setting at the heart of nature, with fishing lakes and nature trails. The new development blends harmoniously with the surrounding countryside, staying true to the natural charm of the park. We are very proud of the improvements we’ve made to Overstone Lakes: it’s now not only a stunning location but also offers high-quality facilities that bring family and friends together and create lasting memories of perfect holidays.”

Family-run since the 1940s, Allens Caravans has been providing holiday experiences for generations. Holiday-home ownership continues to grow in popularity in the UK, offering a flexible “home from home” lifestyle – ideal for regular breaks throughout the year or extended summer stays, particularly as more people embrace hybrid working.
