Walking through Stadium MK on a non match day, it’s clear this is no longer just a football venue. Conference rooms are busy, bars are full, and conversations stretch far beyond Saturday afternoons.
The football will always be the heartbeat but what we’re building here goes much further than 90 minutes on a Saturday.
As a business we are always striving to improve and take things to the next level. We spent a lot of time last summer reflecting on the role we wanted to play within the business community moving, and I’m really proud of the momentum we’ve been able to create since.
That momentum is perhaps best illustrated through the MK Dons Business Alliance, the club’s networking and partnership programme, which has continued to grow throughout the 2025/26 campaign.
We’ve seen more engagement, more collaboration, and more businesses genuinely doing business with one another.
That tells me the Alliance is delivering on its purpose.
What makes the Business Alliance different?
It’s the shared connection. Everyone in the room has bought in to MK Dons in some way. That instantly breaks down barriers and creates a sense of trust.
Throughout the season, Alliance members have gathered regularly at Stadium MK for networking events, match day experiences and informal meet ups, using football as a catalyst for conversation, not the sole focus.
We’re not just putting people in a room and hoping for the best. We’re creating an environment where relationships can develop naturally. The stadium is a powerful backdrop, but it’s the people that make it work.

Real value for businesses
The success of the programme isn’t measured purely by numbers, but by outcomes. When we hear members telling us they’ve won new clients, formed partnerships, hired suppliers or simply expanded their network in a meaningful way, that’s when we know it’s working.
And it’s important to stress that the Alliance isn’t limited to one type of business. We’ve got SMEs, national companies, start-ups and well-established organisations all involved. That diversity is a strength. It means members are exposed to new ideas, sectors and opportunities they might not otherwise encounter.
We don’t stand still. We’re already planning the next calendar of events and looking at new ways we can support our members, whether that’s through better connectivity, smarter use of the club’s platform, or simply listening to what businesses want from us.
Next season represents a particularly good opportunity for new members. There’s real momentum here. Joining at the start of a season allows businesses to build relationships early and get the maximum return from their membership.
If you’re a business considering joining the MK Dons Business Alliance for the first time I’d say ‘come and see it for yourself’. This isn’t about sales pitches or forced conversations. It’s about being part of a community that wants to grow together.
As the club looks ahead to a new season, that sense of togetherness a recurring theme. Football clubs are built on connection. Th e Business Alliance is just another way MK Dons brings people together, and I’m excited about where it can go next.
