Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club Celebrates 20 Years of Positive Community Impact

Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club is delighted to celebrate its 20th anniversary this month, marking two decades of dedication to supporting young people and families across the community.

Founded in 2006 by Kevin McCarthy, who continues to serve as Head Coach, the club’s legacy continues through the Boxfit Centre. Kevin leads the centre as CEO, with Sadie Whiteland serving as Boxfit Centre Manager and Assistant Head Coach, playing a vital role in the club’s future development and leadership.

To mark this milestone, the club is hosting a special anniversary event on Sunday, 17 May, at the Leonardo Hotel in Milton Keynes. The event is now officially sold out, reflecting the incredible support from the local community.

The afternoon will bring together around one hundred guests for a celebratory lunch and a series of boxing bouts, showcasing the skill, discipline, and commitment of members past and present.

Since opening its doors, Bletchley Amateur Boxing Club has provided a safe and supportive environment for people of all ages to build confidence, resilience, and physical fitness.

Its coaches and volunteers have guided hundreds of young people, offering mentorship, structure, and positive pathways.

The event is proudly sponsored by local organisations including, C&B Electrical Contractors Ltd, who are long-standing supporters of the club and its mission.
