Cransley Hospice launch their first newsletter for businesses

Cransley Hospice is celebrating the launch of the first edition of the Hospice Herald, a newsletter designed specifically for businesses. The “Hospice Herald” shines a spotlight on corporate heroes; the ordinary people within business who do extraordinary things to raise money and make a difference by supporting the hospice.

Readers will be able to see what the charity partners and corporate supporters have been up to and how they have been making a difference, having fun and fundraising to support the essential end of life care and services provided at the hospice.

Partnering with the hospice can provide a host of benefits to local businesses and the individuals, it encompasses so much more than just the financial support. There are many ways to get involved, whether it’s holding a one-off fundraiser, offering services or expertise, volunteering time, helping at an event, taking on a Team Challenge or choosing Cransley as Charity of the Year.

Stuart Branch, Group People and IT Director at Weetabix, said

“Giving back to the local Northamptonshire community is an important part of our charity ethos here at Weetabix and we’re very proud to have worked with Cransley Hospice. The staff have had a lot of fun raising the money, especially throwing wet sponges at each other during the Summer Fundraising Day!”

Supporting a prominent local charity like Cransley Hospice can be very rewarding and beneficial helping businesses to:

  • Achieve corporate social responsibility goals
  • Give positive brand association and exposure
  • Provide Team-building opportunities
  • Boost staff morale

The fundraising experts at Cransley Hospice work with their charity partners and are always on hand to support the Corporate Heroes with their fundraising journey.

Ashley Davies, Community Fundraiser at Cransley Hospice says

“If you’ve got people in your business who seem ordinary but just need a reason to release their inner hero and become extraordinary, don’t wait, get in touch, we have the capes and masks to make it happen!”

Each year Cransley Hospice needs to raise around £1.4m to provide the specialist end of life care needed to support patients and their families in North Northamptonshire. This year the hospice’s fundraising income has been badly affected by COVID-19 and similar to businesses, the charity has reacted to this by taking their events online, but this will still leave the charity income down by around £500k.
