Situated on Midsummer Boulevard, FairspaceMK offers a professional, reliable home for businesses in a convenient city centre location. What’s more, all profits are sent back to the local voluntary sector through MK Community Foundation’s grant programmes.
FairspaceMK’s Centre Manager, Emma Tyler, explains more about what’s on offer for businesses:
Tell us a little bit about what’s on offer at FairspaceMK?
At FairspaceMK, we have a range of different size offices available, from one-person spaces to offices suitable for a team of 25. Flexibility is at the heart of what we do, as we endeavour to support the growth of local businesses. As such, our offices have just a three-month fixed term, before moving to a rolling monthly contract. All our tenants are looked after by our friendly on-site team, who are always happy to assist.
What makes FairspaceMK different from other business centres?
Our focus is on supporting Milton Keynes through business, therefore we ensure that our pricing remains affordable to allow more SMEs to have a home in the centre of the city. We’re part of MK Community Foundation, so by renting an office, you’re enabling us to further provide for our voluntary, community and cultural sector through our grant giving. Some of our inspiring stories of how people like you are helping us to make positive change in Milton Keynes can be found on our website.
What do you love about working for Fairspace MK?
I love that I can have a positive influence on the city through the work that I do. I believe it’s important that the place where you work shares your values. Working at FairspaceMK, with initiatives such as its collaboration with Girl Pack, and efforts to enhance sustainability, I feel a real sense of belonging. There is also a great ‘tenant community’ within FairspaceMK – smiles down the corridor, a helping hand when needed and a guarantee that everyone feels supported and welcome.
What advice would you give to someone searching for office space?
Consider your team and what will allow them to work most effectively. For some, it will be a central location. For others, it will be a larger space. For any additional extras, it’s worth considering the return on investment on the facilities. Talk to a potential office about your needs and allow them to show you how they can support your work.
