Guests return for the relaunch of breakfast club

The Milton Keynes City Breakfast Club was thrilled to once again welcome guests and speakers to its relaunch event in September.

Guest speakers Amanda Marlow, Mayor of Milton Keynes, and Debbie Brock, High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, discussed key topics including celebrating the granting of city status for Milton Keynes and also the important topic of the knife amnesty.

“I was delighted to receive an invitation to speak at the first City Breakfast since the COVID-19 pandemic,”

said Cllr Marlow.

“I spoke about city status and what it means to Milton Keynes, and also how proud I was to be a part of the city status application process.

“It was wonderful to meet so many people from a diverse range of businesses, and to hear how proud and excited people are that Milton Keynes is now a city.

“City Breakfast is key to helping businesses network more efficiently and also to help promote growth and prosperity right across our city. I am very much looking forward to going to the next one.”

It was a morning of networking, inspiration and community spirit as business and community leaders came together to discuss current business and social topics in Milton Keynes.

With over 70 people in attendance, the event was a great success, with new Chairman Steve Freeman, a Partner at MHA, taking over at the helm.

“I was so delighted to host the very well attended MK City Breakfast Club alongside Liz Newell. We had excellent presentations from our Mayor Amanda Marlow and the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Debbie Brock. It is so good to be back networking and working together for the benefit of the MK community,”

said Steve.

Milton Keynes City Breakfast Club takes place the first Wednesday of each month except January and August, and the organisers are looking forward to continuing the success of the event, with upcoming events open to anyone who wants to go along.
