Regardless of how cash-rich a business is, spreading the cost of any investment – for goods or services – makes excellent financial sense, leaving the company in control of its budget and at the same time helping reduce tax liabilities.
Simply Business Services offers a comprehensive portfolio of specialisms from office fit-outs and refurbs to technology hardware, software and support, and telephony solutions, and beneficial financial options are always available to clients.
Throughout its range of services, Simply Business Services offers clients the option to discuss finance or leasing options that make large investments – such as the fit-out of an office or the purchase of technology systems and software – not only easier to absorb but can also deliver savings on corporation tax bills.
There are a number of options available, from Device As A Service and Software As A Service arrangements, to monthly packages and finance agreements.
When the company was first established by Jon Bautista and Matt Dann in 2023, their two companies, Simply Techspace and Simply Workspace, came together to provide a one-stop solution for clients whether they were fitting out or refurbishing their premises, looking for technology solutions, communications and tech support, or a combination of services. Since then, Simply Commspace has joined the fold to specifically offer telephony services; and the three arms of the business have united under the Simply Business Services name.
The company has recently increased the amount of office space at its Moulton Park headquarters, and has acquired a small managed service provider in a move that has doubled the size of its technical support team, continuing its rapid growth since it was established two and a half years ago.
Matt Dann said: “We’re growing at a steady rate and we’ve had to take on more office space in order to make room for the team we have now, and for the expansion we’re expecting in the near future. Our growth has been based on providing the service levels we do, backed up by the fact that one of the most important things we can do is to give our customers the flexibility they need to get the offices, equipment and services they need, but also to spread the cost in the best way for them, so that they’re not having to stretch themselves just to keep up.
“Device As A Service and Software As A Service are becoming the norm, with people paying monthly rather than having to find the full amount up front. It’s not about not being able to afford what you’re buying, but in the same way that you might get a car or equipment on finance, then upgrade it at the end of the fixed lease, you can do the same thing with technology.
“We all know how quickly technology can seem out of date now, so it makes perfect sense to spread the cost. And, when you consider the tax benefits, even if the overall amount works out a little bit more, it can still prove the most cost-effective option.”

Simply Workspace is also seeing more flexible financial arrangements being put into place with clients fitting out premises. The company offers a complete solution that is available to businesses or organisations of any size in any sector, from a complete office fit-out for a small company moving into new space, to an entire block for a property developer, to a set-up or refurbishment for clients in the education or healthcare sectors, supplying everything from board room furniture, chairs and desks to flooring and partitioning solutions.
Jon Bautista said: “It’s probably more common at Simply Workspace for the work to be paid for as and when it’s done, but we’re seeing an increasing number of clients looking to spread the cost.
“Our approach has always been a circular one – we like to recycle, refurbish and reuse whenever we can – and because that’s important to us, our clients get the opportunity to save money by choosing refurbished equipment that lowers spend but also goes some way to reducing their carbon footprint.
“Clear costings mean there are no surprises – they know what it’s going to cost now, and they know what it will mean if their team grows and they need to add another laptop or mobile phone to their account. And knowing that it’s an ongoing arrangement with a fixed term, they know those devices will be replaced at no additional upfront cost, which makes sense from a budgeting and tax efficiency point of view.”
Matt added: “We work a lot within the education sector, and at one time schools didn’t really enter into any leasing arrangements, but now that they’re maybe ordering 1,000 iPads, it makes sense to lease them and have the option of upgrading or replacing them as and when they need to.
“We’ve always positioned ourselves as being an open business that isn’t driven by KPIs and just wants the best for our clients. If we can find a way to make something happen for our clients, we will.”
