Milton Keynes Community Foundation is delighted to announce MK College Group as the official Community Champion Sponsor for the inaugural Charity Awards, taking place on June 29 at the iconic Stables venue.
The Charity Awards, launched as part of MK Community Foundation’s 40th anniversary celebrations, will shine a light on the individuals, charities, community groups, and businesses whose dedication and vision make Milton Keynes a fairer and more compassionate place to live.
As the Community Champion Sponsor, MK College Group will play a prominent role in the event, including contributing to the judging of the Inclusion Award in memory of Ranjit Singh.
MK College Group’s support for the awards is aligned with its mission. Sally Alexander, CEO of MK College Group, said: “Our mission is to deliver Fairer Futures for our employees, learners and wider communities. Sponsoring the Community Champion Award is a natural extension of our values, and we are incredibly proud to stand alongside the individuals and organisations who are transforming lives across Milton Keynes.”
Ian Revell, Chief Executive of Milton Keynes Community Foundation, said: “We are thrilled to welcome MK College Group as our Community Champion Sponsor. Its commitment to creating Fairer Futures perfectly reflects the spirit of these awards. This is a milestone moment for our 40th anniversary year, a chance to celebrate the extraordinary people and organisations who help Milton Keynes thrive.”
MK College Group is joined by three further category sponsors, each representing a key area of life in Milton Keynes. Leap will sponsor the Health and Wellbeing award in memory of Roger Fennemore, recognising organisations that uplift physical and mental health across the city. Happy Days will support the Crime and Safety category, highlighting work that keeps communities safe. And Kirkby Diamond will sponsor the Work and Local Economy category, celebrating efforts to build strong livelihoods and inclusive economic growth.
A night of celebration and community pride
Set against a relaxed, joyful backdrop (think good music, loaded fries and a community atmosphere), the awards night will be a warm and welcoming space for civic leaders, businesses, charities and neighbours to come together and celebrate Milton Keynes at its best. These awards reflect the breadth of the city’s strengths and the values that underpin its community life.
Judging is already under way, with finalists to be announced at the end of April. As the evening draws closer, there is still an opportunity for organisations to become part of this landmark celebration. Spaces for sponsorship are limited, so the Foundation team would love to help businesses explore how they can join the event.
