Coffee Roasters win 10 Stars at the 2025 Great Taste Awards

Beanworks Coffee Roasters is proud to celebrate a landmark year at the prestigious Great Taste Awards 2025, receiving an outstanding 10 stars across multiple entries — including a coveted 3-star award, and the joint highest-rated decaf coffee of the year.

Leading the accolades was Jardines del Edén, a standout Colombian coffee that earned 3 stars, the highest distinction awarded by Great Taste. Only 1.9% of all entries receive 3 stars, reserved for products deemed “exquisite” by the expert judging panel. The judges praised Jardines del Edén for its:

“Complex and delicious flavour… great mouthfeel… it delivers a really enjoyable taste from first to last.”

Adding to the success, our Condor Decaf, also from Colombia, received a prestigious 2-star rating, making it the joint top decaf coffee recognised this year. Judges described it as:

“A burst of juicy redcurrant acidity, bolstered by toffee sweetness, evolving into dark chocolate in the finish. A characterful coffee.”

In total, the Northamptonshire based roastery received one 3-star, three 2-star, and six 1-star awards, underscoring the team’s craft, excellence and commitment to sourcing, roasting and showcasing coffee from some of the world’s best growers and producers.”

Run by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are widely regarded as the most trusted food and drink accreditation Awards globally. This year more than 500 food & drink industry experts blind-tasted and reviewed 14,340 food and drink products.

David Blair, Beanworks, commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled by this year’s results. Winning multiple stars — especially our first-ever 3-star award — is a huge honour and a testament to the entire Beanworks team and our incredible farming partners around the world.”

“The Great Taste Awards are the gold standard in our industry, so to see our Jardines del Edén recognised at the highest level, and our Condor Decaf rated as one of the UK’s best decaf coffees, is truly humbling.”

“We’re equally pleased that the Awards have recognised the innovation of coffee growers – in particular Felipe Arcila, a 4th generation coffee producer in Colombia who grew and produced the Three star Jardines Del Eden coffee – an extremely rare coffee varietal called Papayo which we carefully profiled and roasted to showcase it at its very best.”
