Telecoms and IT Managed Service Provider dbfb has strengthened its regional presence and service capability through the acquisition of Milton Keynes-based Totally Converged Solutions (TC Solutions).
The Northamptonshire-based business worked in partnership with advisers at Evolution Capital to explore opportunities aligned with its values and long-term growth strategy. TC Solutions stood out as the ideal fit – a business with a similar ethos, strong customer relationships, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, service-led solutions.
The acquisition brings together two organisations with shared priorities: putting the customer first, offering expert support, and simplifying business communications through modern, reliable technology.
This strategic move marks another step in dbfb’s ongoing investment in people, partnerships and platforms – enabling the business to scale sustainably while continuing to offer hands-on service across its portfolio. By welcoming TC Solutions into the fold, dbfb not only expands its technical capability, but strengthens its connection to the Milton Keynes business community.
TC Solutions’ founders and directors, Simon Dixon and Andrew Thomas, will remain in the business to ensure continuity for customers and continue driving growth.
Andrew Thomas, Director at TC Solutions, said: “We’ve grown TC Solutions from the ground up, and after 17 years we were ready to look at the next step – whether that was investment or exit. This felt right.
“We’re both staying on – and that matters. We’ve worked with many of our customers since day one, so getting the transition right is a top priority. What stood out about Simon and the dbfb team was their personal, customer-focused approach. Our customers will be in good hands.
“We’re excited to get to know the team and bring the best of both businesses together.”

Founded in 2007, TC Solutions has built a loyal customer base by providing tailored mobile, telephony and connectivity services, backed by dependable support and technical expertise. Its focus on long-term customer care mirrors dbfb’s own commitment to building trusted partnerships.
Over the years, TC Solutions has earned a reputation for its responsive service, technical reliability and ability to meet the evolving needs of its customers – from fast-moving SMEs to more complex organisations requiring integrated, future-ready communication platforms. These qualities made it a strong cultural and operational match for dbfb.
dbfb, established in 1998, delivers telecoms and IT solutions from businesses of all sizes from SMEs to larger enterprises and public sector organisations. Its offer spans mobile, connectivity, cloud telephony, audio visual solutions, IT support and bulk messaging, all underpinned by tailored onboarding, account management and responsive support.
The move also strengthens dbfb’s footprint in Milton Keynes – the UK’s fastest-growing city and a strategically important location within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.
While dbfb already serves customers in the area, the acquisition opens up new potential for expansion – enabling the business to reach more organisations and deliver a broader range of services across a key regional growth corridor.

Charlie Futcher, Transaction Manager at Evolution Capital, said: “Working with Simon and the dbfb team has been a fantastic example of how a clear M&A strategy can be successfully implemented.
From initiating a long-term relationship with a leading funder in Santander, to identifying a target that fits dbfb’s growth ambitions, Evolution Capital’s collaborative approach has delivered a great outcome for both buyer and seller.
“It’s been a pleasure to work so well as a team – and we look forward to supporting dbfb in its continued growth.”
The acquisition follows a strong year for dbfb, marked by double- digit revenue growth, the expansion of its IT and bulk text messaging services, and 20 new hires across technical and customer-facing roles.
This success reflects the company’s ongoing investment in its people and platforms, as well as growing demand for joined-up, flexible telecoms and IT support across the SME market.
The business is actively exploring further acquisitions that bring added value to customers and strengthen its position in key regional markets.
“We’ve grown significantly over the past year – welcoming new talent into the business and deepening our capabilities in IT and bulk text messaging,” said Simon Pickering, Managing Director at dbfb.
“It’s a fast-moving market, and businesses like TC Solutions, that lead with service and innovation, continue to thrive. For Simon and Andy, this was a natural next step – and with them staying on, we’re even better placed to help all our customers adapt, grow and benefit more from their technology.
“Ultimately, this deal is about strengthening what we do best – delivering performance and productivity for our customers.”
